In partnership with the Get Georgia Reading Campaign, I am excited to share with you a new, FREE resource – GAREADY4K text message program for parents of 4 and 5 year old.  Families can opt-in to receive about three messages weekly about everyday activities they can do with their children.

2014 study led by researchers at Stanford University found that Ready4K! had a positive effect on the levels to which parents engaged in home literacy activities with their children. The texting program also led to increased involvement with their child’s school.

Now, Ready4K! is coming to Georgia for parents of 4 & 5 year old children — sign up now by texting gaready4k to 313131.  Again, this is a free, opt-in texting service. Individuals’ mobile carrier text rates may apply.
